Shouting “Trump is treason”, activist hurls Russian flags at President – Trump gives thumbs up!

Ryan Clayton, a prominent liberal activist from the group Americans Take Action and former anchor for Content.news, who is known for attention grabbing stunts to illustrate political issues, stood with journalists in a suit and tie until President Trump approached with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as they entered a luncheon being held in the Capitol building by Senate Republicans. He then flung a handful of Republican flags in the air, shouting “Trump is treason”.

TRUMP IS TREASON

Trump’s shocking reaction? A thumbs up.

“We should be talking about Treason,” Ryan shouted. “This President conspired with Russian agents to steal an election. We should be talking about treason in Congress, not about tax cuts!”

Watch the scene, below, in video from Politico and NBC News. Story continues below video.

It’s a fair point. One which Clayton also made with a previous stunt, in which he posed as a Russian supporter of the President.

And here’s Clayton hammering Trump on Content News:

Clayton was also beaten and kicked, and violently assaulted by men he described as “brown shirts” at a James O’Keefe event at a bar in Manhattan, where Ryan said “I felt like I stood face to face with fascism”. An encounter that left him in a neck brace.

Ryan has also been in the news for trying to get Jared Kushner to sign a Russian flag, and for handing out Russian flags at the conservative political gathering CPAC.

After hurling the flags at President Trump, Ryan waited to be apprehended, identified himself to Secret Service agents and was arrested.

Indictment alleges Paul Manafort conspired against United States while managing Trump campaign

Unsealed Indictment’s timeline of allegations overlaps Manafort’s stint as Trump Campaign Director

The first round of indictments in Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election were unsealed Monday morning, and they contradict the continual denials from President Donald Trump that his campaign had no relationship with Russian officials or interests. Former Trump campaign director Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates have surrendered to authorities to face a 12 count indictment. And the president — who routinely calls the allegations “phony” — must now come to grips with the fact that criminal charges have been filed against multiple members of his campaign team for actions that, according to the timeline specified in the indictment, overlap with their tenure on the Trump campaign.

RELATED: Watch GOP senator blast Trump’s rants on Russia as “too defensive”

Manafort came aboard Team Trump in March of 2016, in the midst of the Republican Presidential Primaries. In June, Trump dismissed campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and promoted Manafort to the top spot in the operation.  He would hold the position until he resigned under suspicious circumstances in August.

In the leadup to the 2016 Republican National Convention, Manafort brought Gates onboard the campaign.

The timeline is essential to the case, considering the president’s response to the indictment:

While it is true that Manafort’s alleged crimes began before his involvement with the then-GOP nominee, they continued to encompass his entire tenure as both campaign staffer and campaign manager: Indictment Paul Manafort

Through 2017. That covers the entirety of service to the Trump campaign by both Manafort and Gates. And that’s some rather hefty wording describing their actions.

The indictments come at a time when congressional Republicans are considering winding down their own investigations into Russian interference and meddling in the election. The first charges filed in the case by the Special Prosecutor should serve as a warning that there is, in fact, fire that’s causing this smoke.

Watch Trump’s Former Campaign Manager Manafort arrested by the FBI

Paul Manafort, the former manager of President Donald Trump’s campaign, has turned himself in to the FBI. Manafort, who took over after predecessor Corey Lewandowski manhandled a female reporter, was replaced himself by “alternative facts” guru Kellyanne Conway after news of his shady connections to Russia broke.

Manafort was arrested after a 12 count indictment by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who was given the job of investigating allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential election on behalf of the Trump campaign, after Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey, who had been leading the investigation. President Trump later admitted he fired Comey to stall the Russia investigation, which the President characterizes as a “witch hunt“.

Among the charges against Manafort were lying to authorities about the nature of his work on behalf of a foreign entity, and money laundering. The charges stem from prior Russia connected work Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates, who was also indicted, did in the Ukraine as advisers to a Pro-Russia political party.

The indictment alleges that Manafort and Gates ran more than $75 million dollars through an assortment of offshore accounts, and laundering approximately $18 million, and financing a “lavish lifestyle” in the United States, spending millions on real estate.

Narco-a-Lago: Trump Corp Laundering Cash for Violent Drug Cartels, Russian Mob (VIDEO)

An explosive new study published by the corporate and government watchdog group Global Witness was released last week, adding an entire new dimension to the unfolding saga of Donald Trump and his shady history of dubious business deals.

Trump: Ties to Central American Drug Cartels

The report uncovers how Trump made millions from licensing his name to a luxury real estate project in Panama used to launder drug money from Latin American cartels. At the very least, Trump appears to have turned a blind eye to the origins of the money used to purchase nearly two-thirds of the condos at the Trump Ocean Club in Panama City. Real estate is one of the most common investment vehicles for laundering illicit money worldwide. This project was Trump’s first big international licensing deal — and disclosures show that he was still making money from this project when he took office in 2017; more than $75 million to date.

Related: ‘Trump Effect’ Destroying America’s Reputation Around The World, New Study Reveals

Meanwhile individuals behind some of the sales at this property have gone to prison for colluding with the cartels. But since then Trump has engaged in many similar deals, with large numbers of units being bought by shell companies that don’t have to disclose their true owners. In some cases, notably with the Trump Tower Soho in New York, records show that a large number of luxury apartments were purchased by individuals with ties to the Russian mafia.

So we’re starting to see a pattern, and it’s looking a lot like Donald Trump has longstanding, deep connections to international, organized crime. If nothing else has single-handedly helped them launder billions of dollars in ill-gotten gains. How long will it take before there’s enough incriminating evidence to end this presidency? With a steady drip of damning information like this coming out on a daily basis, it seems unlikely that this can continue for his entire term.

Trump Administration Ridiculously Tries to Distance Themselves from Flynn – by Blaming Obama

when in doubt, Blame obama

Michael Flynn, the former adviser to the Trump Campaign, as well as the first National Security Advisor for the Trump Administration, pleaded guilty to lying about communicating with the Russians during the 2016 general election.

Related: Damning Report Alleges Michael Flynn Pushed Russian Troll Farm Propaganda

As Flynn was one of the main targets of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia, alongside campaign chairman Paul Manafort, this represents a strong development in an investigation that was frequently labeled a “witch hunt” during its initial progression.

Things are far from over, but considering Flynn’s status among Trump’s initial team, this is a sign that the President could very well be on the path towards impeachment, assuming he knew anything about the relations between members of his presidential campaign, including members of the Trump family, and Russian figures. And reports coming out today suggest that he not only knows that kind of information, but is prepared to testify about it.

Related: Shocking Report: Campaign Insiders Claim Trump in Early Stages of Dementia (VIDEO)

One cannot expect the rest of the investigation to continue easily, especially when the President is both taking efforts to limit communications between employees of the White House and the outside world, and actively trying to distance himself from Flynn. Speaking on the matter, White House lawyer Tyler Cobb not only immediately labeled the Lieutenant General an isolated actor in this affair, but also had the audacity to make the sophomoric argument that he was more of an Obama Administration official than a Trump Administration one:

“Today, Michael Flynn, a former National Security Advisor at the White House for 25 days during the Trump Administration, and a former Obama administration official, entered a guilty plea to a single count of making a false statement to the FBI.

The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials which resulted in his resignation in February of this year. Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn. The conclusion of this phase of the Special Counsel’s work demonstrates again that the Special Counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and reasonable conclusion.”

Here is the problem with Cobb’s statement: despite appointing him, Obama had fired Flynn as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, going so far as to warn Trump about Flynn’s security concerns.

Trump in turn ignored Obama, telling NBC News host Lester Holt in an interview that he trusted Flynn and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Considering Trump fired Comey over investigating Russia, it raises the question of whether or not Trump knew about Flynn’s talks with the Russians beforehand. And indeed, whether that was part of why Flynn was part of his inner circle in the first place.

Is Trump Guilty of Obstruction of Justice? (VIDEO)

With ever-mounting evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to swing the 2016 election, there’s a growing chorus of voices in Congress and other officials in Washington claiming that the president at the very least is guilty of obstructing justice.

When do we call it obstruction of justice?

Last week more fuel was added to the fire when former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pled guilty about lying to the FBI about his contact with the Russians during the campaign. Over the weekend Trump tweeted suggesting that he knew Flynn lied to the FBI, and that that’s why he fired him on February 13th.

However, if this is the case, then when Trump allegedly pressed then FBI director James Comey to drop the investigation into Flynn, on February 14th, the very next day, that he was clearly and knowingly attempting to obstruct justice. Since these recent developments Congressman Ted Lieu, Senator Diane Feinstein and others have publicly pointed out Trump’s self-incriminating statements. In the words of Richard Painter, the top ethics lawyer during the George W. Bush administration, Trump could be Tweeting himself into an obstruction of justice conviction.

Whistleblower Bombshell: Flynn Betrayed US to Russia ‘Within Minutes’ of Trump Being Sworn In

Whistleblower Account Alleges Michael Flynn Sent Text About Nuclear Business Deal As Trump Gave Inauguration Speech

If you thought things couldn’t get worse for Michael Flynn and the people associated with him in the Russia investigation, think again.

Representative Elijah Cummings sent a letter to Republican Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Trey Gowdy describing the account of a whistleblower from June 2017 with information on Flynn’s questionable actions on Inauguration Day.

Related: Trump’s Latest Twitter Storm on Flynn and Comey Delves Into Conspiracy Nut Territory

Cummings relays the account of the unnamed whistleblower who described a conversation with Alex Copson, a business associate of Flynn’s and managing partner at ACU Strategic Partners. The whistleblower spoke with Copson during an event and reported that businessman received a text from Flynn during the inauguration of Donald Trump that made him rather gleeful.

When asked how he was doing, Copson allegedly responded:

I couldn’t be better. This is the best day of my life. This is the start of something I have been working on for years, and we are good to go.

Copson went on to describe a “joint partnership between the United States and Russia relating to the [nuclear] energy sector in the Middle East”. He then showed the whistleblower a text message from Michael Flynn received during Trump’s inauguration speech that said the project was “good to go”.

Copson then makes it clear Flynn has been working on this for some time.

Mr. Copson then told the whistleblower, “Mike has been putting everything in place for us…This is going to make a lot of wealthy people.”

Mr. Copson explained that General Flynn was making sure sanctions would be “ripped up” as one of his first orders of business and that this would allow money to start flowing into the project.

Copson then derides former President Barack Obama for sanctions that blocked this deal.

He also pointed out this would help put more U.S. military forces in these countries and, after speaking derogatorily about the people of the area, stated “they will be better when we recolonize the Middle East”.

Cummings requested a number of people to be subpoenaed in light of the information provided by the whistleblower. The list includes Flynn, his son, and current White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, among others.

The Democrat asks the Chairman of the Benghazi Select Committee to be as thorough in investigating these leads as he was in pursing “allegations against Secretary Clinton that were debunked years ago”.

Watch Roy Moore Speak Fluent Russian in Shocking Video Denouncing America, Praising Putin

Roy Moore Has some negative things to say about America, the country he wants to represent

As the 2017 Alabama Special Election commences tomorrow, the national Russia scandal continues to make the airwaves. Both pieces of news have dominated the American landscape over the past few months, namely because of significant developments on the two ends that we have extensively covered.

However, it appears the two stories may not be as separate as one thinks as a video has surfaced from an interview Alabama Republican candidate Roy Moore did with The Guardian wherein he disclosed his traitorous thoughts on Putin and Russia. This was reported on previously by respected news outlets, but the footage paints a more disturbing picture as one sees how serious Moore is about his beliefs regarding national security, separation of Church and State, and same-sex marriage.

Paul Lewis, the journalist who interviews Moore in the video, asked him about whether or not he truly believed that Trump was put in the Oval Office by “God,” to which the Republican openly confirmed, tossing aside the idea that Russia interfered in the process. Responding to this, Lewis pointed out how Ronald Reagan, a revered Republican hero, claimed that Russia, then a part of the Soviet Union, was “the focus of evil in the modern world,” to which Moore made a surprising declaration: that you could say the same thing about America.

There has of course been a lot of criticism directed at America for its interference in the governments of other countries since the beginning of the Cold War, but even that is not what Moore was referring to. Instead, Moore was talking about the country’s recent legalization of same-sex marriage through the Supreme Court ruling of Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015. When Lewis pointed out that Putin has said similar things, Moore responded with the declaration that “maybe Putin is right. Maybe he’s more akin to me then I know”. Then, asked what he would say to Russian dictator Putin, Moore surprisingly spoke in fluent Russian, translated by The Guardian as “hello, how are you?”

Related: Birds of a Feather: Perv-In-Chief Trump Gives Roy Moore Most Enthusiastic Endorsement Yet

While Moore’s affinity for Putin and the apparent fluency in the Russian language could be seen as alarming in light of the Special Counsel Investigation, it is worth pointing out that Moore studied Russian at West Point during the Cold War, and could simply have retained at least that one phrase over the years. Nevertheless, Moore seems to be quite disloyal to America, and quite friendly towards a dictator who has meddled in our democracy, as well as ending the fledgling democracy that had begun to grow in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Considering his blatantly disloyal remarks against America along with the multiple allegations of sexual harassment, stalking, assault, and rape of women and girls dating back decades, raises serious concerns about Moore’s fitness to serve the American People as a United States Senator. This gives Democrat and Republican voters in Alabama, alike, good reason to vote for Moore’s Democratic opponent Doug Jones. The question is, will they?

Obama Breaks Silence, Urges Voters to Resist Roy Moore –‘This One’s Serious’

Obama is helping Doug Jones lead the fight against Roy Moore

The Alabama Special Election will be taking place tomorrow, meaning the culmination of a lot of things will come to a head when the results are revealed. There is first the question of whether or not the credible molestation allegations against minors will matter for Republican candidate Roy Moore, whether voters will believe a man who is openly racist and homophobic will be a good representative of them, and, most importantly, whether Donald Trump’s endorsement matters: an aspect that has been called into question considering his past endorsements for Ed Gillespie and Luther Strange failed to generate enough support.

Trump’s endorsement was indirect and slow at first, but, in the waning days before the election, became outright demanding, culminating in him releasing a robocall on Sunday. With some polls still against him, Doug Jones, the Democratic candidate, has been working nonstop to get as much support as possible for his own campaign. While he has gotten endorsements from significant figures including Senator Cory Booker, former Governor Deval Patrick, and host Jimmy Kimmel, Jones’ biggest supporter has come in the form of previous President Barack Obama.

Related: Obama Warns of Trump’s N*zis, so Hannity Comes up with the Most Backward Conspiracy Theory Ever

Obama, despite the efforts of Trump and the right-wing media, continues to remain a popular figure in America, and is using that reputation to get as much turnout for Jones as possible, particularly among African American voters. Similar to Trump, Obama used a robocall with a simple message:

“This one’s serious. You can’t sit it out. Doug Jones is a fighter for equality, for progress. Doug will be our champion for justice. So get out and vote, Alabama.”

Related: Top Alabama GOP Senator Turns on Trump: ‘I Couldn’t Vote for Roy Moore’

Obama’s words are more than just partisan rhetoric, as Jones did in fact gain civil rights credibility when he lead the prosecution against the terrorists behind the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing, a horrific tragedy that resulted in the deaths of four innocent African American girls and helped kick off the Civil Rights Movement.

During his final year as President, Obama promised he would actively work to fight voter disenfranchisement when out of office, a facet that has plagued many red states eager to gerrymander districts where minority populations are prevalent, including Alabama. With his creation of redistricting group fundraiser, we can hope that focusing on increasing turnout in elections like this is will be key to making the country blue again.

BREAKING: Neo-Nazi Group Endorses Roy Moore on the Eve of Crucial Election for Quoting Hitler

0
0

Neo-Nazis have officially given their support for Roy Moore

So, this is where this country is at. It’s beyond scary to think about the importance of Tuesdays’s event. The Alabama special election to fill in Jeff Sessions’s vacant Senate seat will not only impact Alabama politics for the next four years, but also US politics, bigly. Democrats in the Senate are already having a hard enough time blocking the GOP’s horrific agenda, often relying on swing votes from a few uncertain Republicans in order to successfully hold off key bills. With another Republican senator the GOP will be unstoppable, whereas with another Democrat, there is a greater chance at anti-Trump success.

That’s why a lot of top conservatives like Trump are using their power to get people out for Republican candidate Roy Moore, despite the un-Godly amount of disturbing allegations thrown his way regarding targeting and/or molesting underage girls. Though there are some Republicans having sane moments like Mitch McConnell and Richard Shelby, the majority of the rest are openly giving their endorsements.

Related: Watch Roy Moore Speak Fluent Russian in Shocking Video Denouncing America, Praising Putin

It should come as no surprise, then, that there is another colorful character on board the “Moore Train.” He’s a leading neo-Nazi and white supremacist named Robert Warren Ray. Ray writes for The Daily Stormer, a horrifying neo-Nazi site that has done nothing but promote hate and fear against minorities as a leading voice of the white supremacist movement. Though it was kicked off mainstream domain registrars for its harassing of a victim of the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, it continues to maintain a strong presence on the dark web.

Related: Anderson Cooper Chews Up, Spits Out Roy Moore’s Lackey Spokeswoman in Must-Watch Interview (VIDEO)

Ray’s endorsement of Moore shockingly does not come from the Alabama candidate’s disgusting views on homosexuality, or racist comments towards the African American community — but instead out of his proper quoting of Nazism founder Adolf Hitler. During an appearance on a local paranoid right-wing radio show in 2011, Moore cited Hitler’s famous passage in Mein Kampf wherein the dictator claims that telling a lie repeatedly will result in it being accepted as the truth by one’s followers: something that has been proven true in recent times by the presence of Fox News and its promotion of conspiracy theories regarding the Clintons and George Soros:

“You know Hitler once said, ‘you tell a big enough lie long enough, people to believe it.’ And that’s that’s the problem. We’ve got to look at simple facts of the case, and we need to recognize we need a new administration in Washington.”

As Ray points out, Moore was ironically correct in his assessment, thereby giving him credibility among neo-Nazis for accurately representing their Führer. We are not even surprised at this point: Moore is a danger to the American public, and we desperately need every rational or empathetic citizen in the state of Alabama to get out and vote for Doug Jones in the election tomorrow. The fate of the country could rest on it. This is not a game.

Fox News Completely Loses its S**t Over Roy Moore Loss, Declares War on Trump Confidant

0
0

The Alabama Special Election ended last night with a close, yet undeniable, win for Democratic candidate Doug Jones. Little more than 20,700 votes made the difference, but it was the participation of those citizens that ensured someone as unqualified as Roy Moore will not be determining the future of this country.

Democrats in the Senate need as many members as possible in order to successfully fight the GOP’s aggressively corrupt and regressive agenda, which robs from the middle class and poor to give to the rich, while at the same time oppressing women, and both ethnic and religious minorities. And while Democrats have struggled in the past to put down regressive policies like the Graham-Cassidy Bill, Jones’s presence will provide them with better odds.

Related: Guess Who Was Funding Sleazy Dirty Tricks to Sabotage Trump Critics and Help Roy Moore

As they usually do when the Republicans lose, right-wing media sources are looking for a scapegoat to blame this defeat on. Especially since this loss comes from a traditionally red state like Alabama, where it is so hard for a Democrat to win in the first place that it hasn’t happened in a quarter century – until now.

Cue Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist who now works as the Executive Chairman of Breitbart News. Bannon came back into the spotlight recently when he attended a rally in order to gain mobility behind Moore. Well, with the latter’s loss, Bannon seems to have lost any regard among establishment Republicans which he gained during the Trump Campaign, as many of those Republicans are now throwing him under the bus, primarily on Fox News.

Related: Watch Roy Moore Speak Fluent Russian in Shocking Video Denouncing America, Praising Putin

Special Report anchor Brit Hume, for example, pointed out that Bannon failed to garner a win in a Republican state like Alabama. Steve Doocy of Fox & Friends blasted Bannon for creating a divide among GOP voters by supporting anti-establishment Roy Moore. Even other conservatives like strategist Rick Wilson and former Mitch McConnell staff member Josh Holmes have attacked Bannon’s credibility as a electoral tactician for Republicans.

It should be noted that Moore himself was not popular with the establishment GOP, most likely due to the allegations that he sexually molested underage girls. Several top Republicans like McConnell and Paul Ryan advocated for Moore to step aside in light of the accusations, while Alabama’s senior Republican Senator Richard Shelby made it clear that he would be writing in someone else over supporting Moore. And while President Trump did actively endorse him, in the primary he backed incumbent Luther Strange and has even congratulated Jones on his victory.

In some ways, it seems the Republican Party is secretly relieved over not having the stain of Moore on their already terrible reputation. Which might mean they have a shred, at least a tiny shred, of decency left. But will that be enough for Jones to do as he pledged, and help the two parties find “common ground”, when he gets to Washington DC? Only time will tell.

Breaking: Panicked Republicans Reach Deal To Ram Tax Scam Ripoff Down America’s Throat

0
0

Republicans are desperately moving quickly to get their tax scam passed before Christmas

Doug Jones’s victory in the Alabama Special Election Tuesday has reportedly kicked off a wave of hysteria among the Republican Party. With an additional Democratic Senator in office, the Democrats will have a slightly easier time fighting any Republican legislative proposals as they narrow the margin of the GOP’s control of the upper house of Congress to only 3 seats (with 49 Democrats against 51 Republicans).

And when you consider that Republicans have already had a hard time getting some of their agenda (such the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill) passed due to swing votes like John McCain, Susan Collins, and Bob Corker in their caucus, that narrow margin of control could easily swing to the Democrats, on any vote. All it would take is just a few Republicans choosing to go against their party. And so the arrival of Doug Jones will ensure that 2018 will be a tough year for them.

It is also worth considering the recent surge in sexual harassment allegations being thrown against powerful men including multiple Republican congressmen and at least one Democrat. What began with allegations and evidence of sexual misconduct against President Donald Trump got new life as more than 80 accusers came forward with allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The scandal has snowballed into the “#Metoo” movement, which has brought or severely damaged down the careers of a startling list of powerful men in entertainment, sports, politics, and the media. In Congress, Trent Franks (R-AZ) , John Conyers (D-MI), and controversially, Senator Al Franken (D-MN) have already resigned, while Blake Farenthold (R-TX) and Ruben Kihuen (D-NV) are also in hot water over allegations. In this climate of reckoning, it’s anyone’s guess how many more resignations may occur, or how it will affect the balance of power in Congress.

Not to mention the scandals President Trump is embroiled in. Sure, he’s seemed to be the “Teflon Don” when it comes to shrugging off scandals that would end any other career as simply “fake news”. But nevertheless, the writing appears to be on the wall when it comes to the Trump presidency.

As things stand now, Al Franken is out and Trump is still in, but the “#metoo” movement is turning full circle into the “#trumptoo” movement, seeking to hold the President, too, responsible for his alleged and evidenced sexual misconduct. With multiple accusers, and Trump having been taped both wittingly and unwittingly bragging about committing sexual assaults, from his gloating on the Howard Stern Show about barging in on teen beauty contest dressing rooms to ogle the girls as they dressed, to the infamous Access Hollywood bus tape, where he was caught bragging about forcibly kissing women and grabbing them “by the pussy”, it seems rather perverse that Trump, who as President should be among the most accountable of all men, and yet seems to be among the least.

Still, if that fails to  that bring Donald Trump to a reckoning, he also faces Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump Campaign, Transition team, and Administration. And if, as seems likely given the many revelations and the mounting evidence, Mueller proves Trump’s involvement in, or knowledge of, treasonous collusion with Russia’s interference in the 2016 US elections, impeachment certainly may follow. Especially if Democrats regain power in Congress, either through resignations, or the upcoming midterm elections, which they could sweep over the backlash against Trump, and Republicans backing his agenda.

It should come as no surprise then that top members of the GOP are rushing to get their widely criticized overhaul of the U.S. tax code, officially called the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, finalized for a closing vote to ultimately send off to President Donald Trump. While the Senate was set on their plan, Republicans in the House of Representatives requested alterations, resulting in it needing to get reworked again.

Related: Trump’s BS Tax Scam Will Give So Much Of Your Money To Billionaires You’ll Blow A F*cking Gasket

Today that plan has reportedly been completed according to top aides working in both Congressional Houses, and will be set to be revealed this week. Time is of the essence in getting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act voted on this week as this Friday, December 15, the House will begin its winter recess while the Senate’s starts Saturday, December 16th. Jones will most likely take office January 3, 2018, when Congress comes back into session, thereby making it imperative for the GOP to get their horrible bill passed before December 15.

Democrats are trying to fight this by demanding Republicans wait until Jones is sworn in and can vote fairly. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is pointing to a similar instance in the 2010 Massachusetts Special Election. When Scott Brown surprised the political world by winning the seat vacated by the passing of “Lion of the Senate” Ted Kennedy, flipping that seat to Republican control after decades in Democratic hands, the GOP insisted on a stall in voting on the Affordable Care Act until Republican winner Scott Brown was sworn in and given a chance to cast a vote on it. This despite the ACA (aka Obamacare) being Ted Kennedy’s life’s work.

Now, as Democrat Doug Jones flips the seat vacated by the naming of former Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions as the Trump Administration’s Attorney General into Democratic hands after a quarter century under Republican control, Senate Majority Leader, Republican Mitch McConnell is pushing for a vote before Jones can be seated, and Democrats are crying foul. Given the parallels to the Kennedy to Brown flip in 2010, the hypocrisy seems rather stark. But given the Republican party’s history under McConnell’s leadership, for instance in regards to the circumstances surrounding the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Merrick Garland, this might be wishful thinking on behalf of Schumer, and other Democrats.

Related: The GOP’s List of ‘Economists’ Backing Their Tax Scam Includes Office Assistants, Ex-Felons, and Dead People

And so, for Americans seeking to prevent the Republican party from fast tracking Trump’s “tax scam”, that sweepingly regresses America’s social safety net – gutting the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, the Children’s Healthcare Insurance Plan (CHIP), food assistance programs and much more, now more than ever is the time to call Congress and complain. Democrats may have won in Alabama, but the country as a whole continues to remain at risk due to the GOP’s drastically regressive agenda.

Presidency in Peril: Americans Overwhelmingly Support Trump’s Impeachment Over Re-Election

0

Support for Donald’s Impeachment Remains Higher than that of his Presidency

Fresh off the news of his first legislative “win“, it appears that Americans have already seen enough of Donald Trump. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released early this morning reads like a Christmas wishlist for potential 2020 Democratic candidates and their operatives. But those candidates may never get to see their dreams of defeating the president in the next presidential election come to fruition — the poll also shows that the same percentage of Americans favor Trump’s impeachment as approve of his job performance: 41%. More ominous for the president, however, is the fact that only 36% of citizens can see themselves pulling the lever for him again, should he seek reelection.

The math is rather clear. When respondents were asked:

Looking ahead to the next election for president, if Donald Trump runs for reelection as the Republican
candidate, will you definitely vote for Trump in that election, probably vote for Trump, probably vote for the
Democratic candidate, or definitely vote for the Democratic candidate?

They answered:

Definitely vote for Trump ………………………………………………… 18
Probably vote for Trump …………………………………………………. 18
Probably vote for the Democratic candidate ……………………. 14
Definitely vote for the Democratic candidate ………………… 38
Depends (VOL)…………………………………………………………………. 4
Neither (VOL) ………………………………………………………………….. 3
Not sure …………………………………………………………………………. 5

As far as his Impeachment is concerned, even without the full knowledge of what Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller will find in his investigation into Russia’s influence on the presidential campaign, a sizeable group of citizens is willing to hold hearings.

Do you believe that Congress should hold impeachment hearings to remove Donald Trump from office or
not?

Yes, hold hearing………………………………………………………………….. 41
No, not hold hearings…………………………………………………………… 54
Not sure………………………………………………………………………………. 5

All of which is horrible news for the White House. Only two presidents in the history of the Republic have ever been impeached. Impeachment is clearly something the country has never taken lightly. But when a president finds himself with a populace more willing to constitutionally remove him from office prematurely than re-elect him for a second term, one can only wonder if his first major legislative victory will also be his last.

Trump fires wildly and misses

It’s the same old complaints with an all-new mistake. President Donald Trump on Tuesday once again blasted the FBI and the dossier about his alleged Russia connections on Twitter, but this time he accidentally gave a shoutout to the wrong account for his favorite news program, “Fox & Friends.” In his tweet, Trump called the dossier…

Donald Trump’s NYT Interview Contained Almost One Lie Per Minute

Trump’s officially hit a new lie milestone

There is no coincidence that fake news began to rise as Trump’s presidential campaign took off. Through intelligence reports and admissions from social media outlets, it has been made clear that Russian hackers helped spread outrageous lies and memes throughout the Internet in order to disparage Trump’s opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton.

But there is also the notion that Trump himself has made these things the norm. In 2015 alone, the fact-checking organization Politifact named him the winner of the “Lie of the Year” award due to his ridiculous claims that constituted either “mostly false,” “false,” or “pants on fire.” And it appears we can add 2017 to that list as a recent 30 minute interview between the President and The New York Times added an astonishing 24 verifiable misstatements to his record.

In the interview, Trump made an erroneous or misleading claim almost every minute, a new landmark even by his low standards. As is to be expected, the questions primarily revolved around two things: the Russia Investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and the past 2016 general election, though the interview also visited domestic and foreign policy aspects.

Russiagate proved to be the main source for the claims, as Trump rehashed his prior falsehoods of there being “no collusion” between his campaign and the Federation, and that Paul Manafort barely had contact with him: two claims that have been refuted in the past. To the President’s credit, he did add a new preposterous lie to the mix, and that was that there was “a lot of collusion” between the Democratic Party and Russia.

Moving onto the 2016 election, Trump used it as an opportunity to boast about his superb campaigning skills and how the Democrats were using the loss as an excuse to perpetuate the Russia myth. Again, this is disproved by several counterarguments, the largest one being that Russia collusion was reported on by the nation’s various intelligence organizations while the Democratic Party blamed then-FBI Director James Comey for his public statement on the Clinton Email investigation. There is also the fact that Mueller himself is registered as a Republican, and served under George W. Bush.

Readers can view excerpts of the transcript here to see the rest of the President’s false claims. It’s a dangerous time when the supposed Leader of the Free World is a pathological liar.

Mitch McConnell Team Posts Gleefully Trolling Tweet as Trump-Bannon Feud Explodes

As Trump And Bannon Publicly Feud, Mitch McConnell Campaign Team Smiles

A lot of days have been rather crazy during the first year of the Republican Donald Trump administration. But today has been one of the craziest as Trump and his former strategist Steve Bannon have conducted a wildly vicious public feud, culminating in a stunningly degrading statement from the president. And one group of people relishing the moment: Team Mitch McConnell.

The day began with explosive excerpts from an upcoming book with statements from Bannon calling the infamous Trump Tower meeting “treasonous” and “unpatriotic”. The meeting took place during the campaign and included Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner expecting dirt on Hillary Clinton from Russia.

The notoriously thin-skinned Trump needed just a few hours before responding in the most Trumpian way. He released a statement saying Bannon had “lost his mind”, wasn’t a significant part of the campaign or the administration, and essentially called him a liar.

Trump also blamed Bannon for the stunning Republican loss of a Senate seat in deeply red Alabama last month. This has been a particularly sore spot for people associated with Mitch McConnell, who clearly did not want any part of alleged pedophile Roy Moore.

Related: Why Do Sean Hannity And Steve Bannon Think They’ll End Up In Jail Over Trump?

Former McConnell chief of staff, Josh Holmes, has been a very vocal critic of Bannon over the election upset. He has stated Steve Bannon has done “an enormous amount of damage to the Republican party”. In regard to the Alabama race, he blasted the Bannon-backed candidacy of Moore in the harshest terms.

“If I had the top five Republican minds in politics and we spent three months attempting to conceive of a way to lose an Alabama Senate race, I’m not sure that we could come up with it…You could literally take any name out of a phone book except Roy Moore’s and win by double digits. And we managed to get the only guy in Alabama that could lose to a Democrat.”

So, how did Team Mitch McConnell respond to the dumpster fire that is the Trump-Bannon feud today? With a wordless tweet trolling the whole thing minutes after the release of Trump’s statement.

That’s right. As portions of the Republican party are eating themselves in an embarrassing public feud, the GOP Senate Majority leader’s campaign is enjoying every minute of it.

And many on Twitter were quick to join in on the fun, while getting in a few jabs at McConnell.

It’s abundantly clear there is no love lost between Mitch McConnell and Steve Bannon. And there’s no telling where the Donald Trump feud with his former chief strategist is headed.

But we can certainly enjoy this part of the calamity for at least a while. Team Mitch is definitely doing that.

Trump Just Made a Huge, Impeachable Mistake He Can’t Cover-up

Looking Past Yet Another One of Trump’s Childish Twitter Insults — this time directed at Diane Feinstein — his calls for Republicans to ‘Take Control’ could be viewed as attempted Obstruction

You don’t have to be Charlie Cook or Carl Bernstein to know that for Donald Trump, when the going gets tough for President Donald Trump, Trump gets tweeting. So it should come as no surprise that, in the wake of Senator Diane Feinstein’s release of Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson’s closed-door testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday, that a ferocious tweetstorm would soon follow. What resulted, however, could be yet another potentially impeachable offense.

The president interrupted his Wednesday morning by tweeting:

And followed that up fourteen minutes later with:

No, calling Senator Feinstein “Sneaky” is not an impeachable offense. Sadly, it’s become expected from this president who thinks every one of his self-perceived enemies needs a sophomoric adjective to prefix their names on twitter and in speeches. From “Lying Ted” to “Crooked Hillary” to “Sloppy Steve“, it’s become tragically anticipated.

Nor could the president find articles of impeachment drawn over grossly lying about Feinstein in a tweet. His claim that Feinstein “has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found” has been soundly debunked. The independent fact-checking service PolitiFact recently examined this claim, rating it as “FALSE”:

President Trump recently claimed Sen. Feinstein said “there is no collusion,” between the Trump campaign and Russia.

He apparently based his statement on responses Feinstein gave in a November 2017 CNN interview about the Russia probe. While Feinstein said she had “not so far” seen specific evidence about one portion of the investigation, that’s far from declaring there was no collusion. Speaking  more broadly about whether collusion took place, Feinstein said in an October 2017 interview that it’s “an open question.” The president’s claim distorted the senator’s words and gave the wrong impression.

We rate Trump’s claim False.

And while Senator Feinstein is indeed facing a primary from California State Senator Kevin de León, it’s hardly considered “tough” given the fact that the incumbent maintained a double-digit lead BEFORE allegations of sexual harassment derailed the de León campaign.

So What Was Potentially Impeachable?

It’s no secret that Trump is already under investigation by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller. Furthermore, it’s looking more likely that the reason Trump is in serious jeopardy has more to do with his possible obstruction of justice in the Russia investigation than the legally ambiguous allegations of collusion. Enter Tweet Number 2 from this morning’s Fusion GPS tweetstorm. More specifically, the final sentence:

Republicans should finally take control!

What is the President asking for? Take control of what? Control of the investigation in terms of freezing Democrats out? The mere hint from the executive branch that the legislative branch’s majority prohibits its minority from upholding their elected duties is fundamentally antithetical to American democracy at face value. However, when the president is suggesting this action take place during the course of a Senate investigation — when he himself, or his associates, are almost certainly targets — goes beyond a philosophical disagreement about constitutional checks and balances. If indeed Trump was saying “Republicans should finally take control” of the investigation, that would fall squarely into the category of Obstruction of Justice.

And if the President wasn’t asking Republicans, who have already been trying to misdirect and stymie the investigations into Russian interference in our election, and any related crimes, to outright take control of those investigations – thereby derailing the wheels of non-partisan justice… Well, then the possibilities get even more drastic. Because the alternative possibility is that they should take control of the government itself – which would be a coup, which would be treason.

So, remarkably, it’s giving the President the benefit of the doubt to assume that he likely calling for obstruction of justice when it comes to the investigations which deal with potential treason, as opposed to calling for members of his party to commit even more treason. Which is stunning.

And, of course, as most Americans know, this isn’t the first time that Trump tried to stifle the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election. He admitted as much on national television to NBC’s Lester Holt last spring. But with the Fusion GPS transcript release effectively slaughtering the GOP narrative that the investigation is a “witch hunt”, the president is clearly feeling the walls closing in around him. And that pressure just might be forcing Trump to make fatal errors like this.

Maybe his own former Chief Strategist, ousted Breitbart Editor Steve Bannon, who is now on record saying there was collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign, and it was “treasonous”, isn’t the one he should be calling “sloppy”.

Is John McCain A “Secret Operative”? Some Right Wing Press Thinks So

Republican Senator John McCain — who is bravely fighting cancer — has found himself being praised or loathed by both sides of the political spectrum in the past year. He gave his closely watched thumbs down and opposed other efforts when Republicans were trying to take health coverage away from millions of Americans. He then supported the GOP tax cut bill that mostly benefited corporations and wealthy people while being projected to run up well over a trillion dollars in debt.

The latest attacks on John McCain are coming from the right-wing press over his involvement in the Steele Dossier on Donald Trump. And some of the criticism reads like a conspiracy where McCain was a secret agent working solely at the whims of the Barack Obama administration.

Related: In subtle jab at Trump, McCain raises issue of how the rich dodged the draft

The stories stem from a story on Breibart titled “Fusion GPS Admits They Used John McCain to Pass Anti-Trump Dossier to Obama-Era Intel Agencies”. The article implies it was such a disgraceful act by McCain to pass along the information he had received to the FBI during the Obama administration.

McCain’s role in the situation has long been known, as noted by Breitbart. The Senator received the dossier after the election of Donald Trump as president and then stated he passed the documents along to the FBI. Breitbart states the dossier was used by the FBI “as a basis for its probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election”. The FBI actually began the probe months earlier in July 2016.

The articles also make a point to mention the dossier was financed in part by the campaign of Hillary Clinton and the DNC. They fail to mention the initial funding that would lead to the production of the dossier came from the conservative-leaning publication, the Washington Free Beacon.

Jumping from that basis, other conservative publications took the McCain criticism even further. One even called McCain a “Fusion GPS Secret Operative”, all the while downplaying or failing to mention contacts with Russians admitted to by players in the Donald Trump campaign.

Reading the pieces, it’s almost as if Donald Trump Jr. hadn’t shared his emails agreeing to a “treasonous” meeting to look at information stemming from the Russian government on Hillary Clinton. Or that disgraced former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn hadn’t been involved in anything nefarious that would lead him to lie to the FBI.

Or that maybe, just maybe, John McCain saw something he thought so alarming he assumed it would be best to have the intelligence community look into it.

It’s certainly fair to question aspects of the Russia investigation as it continues to play out and more people from the Trump campaign go down. But the idea that McCain was some plant working for the Obama administration to discredit Donald Trump may be one of the most absurd attacks we’ll see from the right regarding the ongoing Russia investigation.

Bannon Strikes Deal With Special Counsel Mueller — Trump Must Be Terrified

Deal spares Steve Bannon from appearing before Robert Mueller’s Grand Jury…For Now

A day after refusing to offer up very little — if anything at all — to the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, former Trump Campaign Chief Executive turned White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon has struck a deal to presumably provide actual information to Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller. The New York Times reported Tuesday that Mueller’s team issued a subpoena compelling Bannon to testify before a grand jury, and CNN reports that Bannon just forged a deal with the Former FBI Director to avoid such a fate:

Steve Bannon has struck a deal with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team and will be interviewed by prosecutors instead of testifying before the grand jury, two people familiar with the process told CNN. He is expected to cooperate with the special counsel, the sources said.

The sources did not say when the interview will take place or if the subpoena would be withdrawn.

The news of a deal comes at the same time that the Associated Press is reporting that Bannon’s attorney Bill Burck was in constant communication with the Trump White House during his testimony on capitol hill:

Bannon is not the first high-profile member of the Trump campaign or administration to strike a deal with Director Mueller. Former National Security Director Michael Flynn has already pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and agreed to cooperate with the investigation. Trump campaign foreign policy analyst George Popodopolous admitted to the same charge.  Furthermore, former Trump 2016 chairman Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates are presently under indictment.

But given the intimate relationship that the former Breitbart editor had with both the campaign and administration, he would arguably be the most intriguing cooperating witness, should the investigation come to that.

But, Her Emails? Pro-Trump Brexit Leader May Have Been Wikileaks Courier

0

Stunning, newly public testimony by Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson to the House Intelligence Committee reveals that “Brexit” leader Nigel Farage may have passed a thumb drive full of secret data to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange during one of several secretive meetings at the Ecuadoran embassy in Britain during the 2016 Presidential Election.

Both Farage and Assange are known allies of President Trump, and both are suspected of ties to Russia. Farage was identified as a “person of interest” by the FBI, according to reports by The Guardian, in the ongoing probe into Russian manipulation of the 2016 US election. Assange’s Wikileaks has been named a “hostile foreign intelligence service” by the United States.

“I’ve been told and have not confirmed that Nigel Farage had additional trips to the Ecuadoran Embassy than the one that’s been in the papers,” Simpson told the committee under oath, “and that he provided data to Julian Assange.”

The known trip to which Simpson refers was taken by Farage in March of 2017, after the election. Trips prior to the election in which data was passed could mean Farage may have served as a courier delivering data to Wikileaks. Assange is suspected of having worked with Russian hackers to release emails stolen from DNC computers, and other material intended to hurt the Democratic nominees chance of election.

Both Assange and Farage have denied any wrong doing, and any connections to Russia.
